Metal Poll of the Week (01/28/08 - (02/01/08): Rob Halford of Judas Priest recently went public with his desire to record a black metal album. For the non metalheads on Buzznet, black metal is perhaps the most extreme of all the metal subgenres, featuring harsh and raspy vocals. Rob Halford possesses some of the most amazing and acrobatic vocals of all time, but they are a completely different style. Should he pursue his black metal ambitions or stick to what he knows? Metal Poll of the Week (01/07/08 - 01/11/08): Unless you've been living under a rock for the last year or so you've probably heard of Metalocalypse. Record execs and others may see the potential for fully customized animated bands to pimp. With the success of Dethklok, will animated bands be a new trend?

Posted
6 mos ago
Metal Poll of the Week (12/31/07 - 01/04/08): Iron Maiden will be embarking on a major world tour in February. Their supporting acts will be bassist Steve Harris' children. That is not a joke. Harris' daughter Lauren and son George will be bringing their respective bands on tour to open for Iron Maiden. Whether or not they have any talent I will leave up to individual opinion. Is this is a heartwarming act by daddy or just shameless nepotism?

Metal Poll of the Week (12/17/07 - 12/21/07): Hardcore dancing is a fairly new style of moshing that originated in the hardcore punk scene, and has recently been adopted by the metalcore scene and even occasionally the screamo scene. Because metalcore bands often play with more traditional metal bands, there often arise disagreements between traditional metal fans and metalcore fans over the right way to mosh. What is your opinion of hardcore dancing?
